Firearms examination includes analysis that can tie a bullet or cartridge case to a specific gun, test trigger pull, and determine gun length. Refer to the "Submission Guidelines" for additional information.
Effective 3/01/2022, the NLCL will no longer provide Latent Print or Toolmark Services which were previously available.
The NLCL (Shreveport) is part of the National Integrated Ballistics Information Network, a computer-assisted ballistics imaging system that stores and compares images of the unique marks made on fired cartridge cases. All NIBIN submissions should be referred to the Shreveport facility.
