About the NLCL
The NLCL provides forensic science services in the areas of Drug Chemistry, DNA Analysis, Firearms Examination, Fire Debris, and Forensic Toxicology.
We are accredited by ANAB under ISO/IEC 17025:2017 standards for testing laboratories. The DNA section adheres to the FBI Quality Assurance Standards for Forensic DNA Testing Laboratories.
We have 2 laboratories in our system, located in Shreveport and Alexandria. Our Ouachita center serves as an evidence hub where agencies throughout northeast Louisiana can drop and return evidence.
