    This class is tailored to attorneys, patrol officers, crime scene investigators, and those who want to complete DNA class 2.

    Topics Include:

    •DNA evidence collection and preservation

    • Hands on activities, including swabbing and presumptive testing

    • CODIS entry and requirements

    • All about NIBIN

    This class will be more valuable for detectives, case agents, and attorneys. Attendance of class 1 is strongly encouraged before enrolling for class 2.

    Topics include:

    • CODIS hits and confirmation

    • In-depth explanation of DNA reports

    • DNA mixture deconvolution and interpretation

    • Testimony questions and explanation

    • Firearms and toolmark examination and the differences between this and NIBIN
